Still Life in AcrylicIf you are familiar with Ellen’s work, you know that she likes to keep things simple and beautiful. In this one-day workshop, you will work from Still Life set ups created to accentuate form, color, and unfussy, straightforward compositions. After some discussion about the Still Life set up, composition, lighting, and thumbnail sketches, Ellen will do a quick demonstration and let you get to work! Her painting philosophy has much to do with the intuitive process and being brave with paint. Emphasis will be on a bold and direct approach, with lots of paint, and students will be encouraged to complete several small works. Also on hand for discussion and inspiration will be several books of artists whose work Ellen admires.
