Ginny received her formal education at Garland Junior College in Boston, MA. and the University of Denver, Co., where she received a BA in Printmaking. During the summer of 1970 she spent two months touring Europe, visiting 12 countries and seeing many of the museums and pieces of art she had studied in school. This trip had a lasting impression on her and helped mold her love for art into a career. After college she returned to Chatham where she began her art career in printmaking, watercolors and eventually learning to paint pastels. Ginny is an award-winning pastelist who has studied with Master Pastelists, Sally Strand, Susan Ogilvie, Terry Ludwig, Diana DeSantis, Rosalie Nadeau, Margaret Dyer, Barbara Janice and oil painter, Joseph McGurl. Recently she was honored as Artists of the Month at the Orpheum Theater in Chatham. She is a member of the Copley Society, an Associate Member of the Pastel Society of American, an Artist Member of the Cape Cod Art Association and a member of The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod. Former co-owner of Nickerson Art Gallery in Chatham she is now represented at Gallery Antonia in Chatham.
