As an Artist Member

Becoming an artist member of the Copley Society means more than having a gallery in which to exhibit one's art in Boston.  Co|So and its staff are dedicated to promoting the work of our artist members to collectors, other galleries, and museums; to encouraging mutual learning and interaction among its artists; and to funding, whenever possible, artistic pursuits of all forms.

Professional Membership at the Copley Society is a juried application process. A Membership Committee comprising prominent members of the Copley Society reviews applications throughout the year. Professional Artist Membership is highly competitive.

I. Preliminary Applications for Professional Artist Membership will be accepted year round. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. A $60 non-refundable preliminary application fee applies. For more details, please refer to the Preliminary Artist Membership Application (above).

II. If your preliminary application is accepted, you will be given a list of dates for optional information sessions held at the gallery. In this meeting, we will go over the specifics of the application and the review process to give you a better idea of what to expect and how to prepare.

III. In your preliminary acceptance letter you will be given a date for your submission to the Membership Committee. All materials required in the Professional Membership Application form must arrive at the gallery in the week prior to and including the deadline accorded you. This final application carries a $100 fee.
