This year’s Summer Members’ Show includes a range of mediums, styles, and techniques including painting, photography, and mixed media. Our members who submitted works for this exhibition were reviewed by two jurors: Hunter O’Hanian, Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation for Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Peter Trippi, Editor of Fine Art Connoisseur and biographer of the painter J.W. Waterhouse.
Four awards have been granted: 1st Jurors’ Choice to Martha Monroe, CA for her ethereal acrylic piece, “Clouds I”; 2nd Jurors’ Choice to Laurene Krasny Brown for her gouche string and cut paper work, “Papel Picado 130”; 3rd Jurors’ Choice to Mark Chester’s gritty silver print photograph, “Bus Depot”; and an Honorable Mention to Jennifer Day for her oil on panel painting, “Congestus I.”
An opening reception will be held Thursday, July 29th from 5:30-7:30pm.
