Artist Information
Janice Rudolf received an undergraduate degree in sculpture from Boston University and a masters degree in art education from Antioch College. She is currently teaching and since 1975, she has been accepting commissions for portraits and sculptures. Janice has traveled extensively for study and pleasure and has had shows in Holland, Germany, and the United States.
Influenced by Degas and Rodin, Janice is a figurative sculptor, concentrating on the human form and on portraiture. Recently, she completed a commission for Brimmer and May, a private school in Chestnut Hill entitled “Robin Reading Canterbury Tales” which sits outside of their arts and sciences building. While she works primarily in bronze, Janice will also work in terra cotta and cold-cast bronze.
