THE ARTIST'S PROCESS
In a manner unique to the graduates of the Lyme Acadmey of Fine Arts, in Old Lyme, Conn., Beth Rundquist's paintings exhibit a beautiful, flowing brushstroke and an appreciation of value and color. Beth has developed an extraordinary ability to capture a likeness in a painterly style.
Typically, Beth's portraits are completed in 4 to 6 sittings of approximately 3 to 4 hours each. She strongly prefers to work from life whenever possible, but will also work from photographs when necessary. Beth will travel to the client's home or office for meetings and sittings. Clients may also visit her studio in New York.
Beth will prepare an 8x10 inch sketch for the client to approve before beginning the final portrait. Completed portraits are usually delivered within 3 to 6 months, but upon discussion of the client's needs, deadlines are negotiable.
